FOMO is an abbreviation for the fear of missing out. This is one of the most notorious reasons as to why many traders fail in the art. From an outside point of view, it is never a good scene seeing people make massive profits within minutes from pumped-up coins. Honestly, I never like such situations any more than you do. But I’ll tell you one thing that’s for sure, Beware of that moment when the green candles seem to be screaming at you and telling to you to jump in. It is at this point that the whales I mentioned earlier will be smiling and watching you buy the coins they bought earlier at very low prices. Guess what normally follows? These coins usually end up in the hands of small traders and the next thing that happens is for the red candles to start popping up due to an oversupply and, voila, losses start trickling in.
Everyone is talking about cryptocurrencies. The explosion in the price of Bitcoin in previous years, when it reached its maximum price and almost touched $ 20.000 dollars, caused the eyes of the world to settle on the crypto world. Suddenly, from average citizens to financial giants, everyone became interested in cryptocurrencies. Their rising prices gave cryptocurrencies a new attraction.
Now what, these apps say they don’t expose this data publicly. Are they really mean it? If you had a check on long privacy policy in each and every app. If any sort of law enforces them to reveal these data they are happy to reveal this data without even letting you know, as you have already bound to their privacy policy. So the best way of being private is selecting an app that really does not collect any of the above information. We at CoinTracker: Crypto Portfolio really does that when you track your cryptocurrency portfolio with our mobile apps. We’re also doing research on making the cryptocurrency transactions more secure and easier with our apps. Stay tuned with our blog for more future updates. Buying the dips and holding can be dangerous in a bear market, and it can put pressure on you to sell low if you overextend, but it is still often better than FOMO buying the top. Sometimes it can be wise to sell for a loss or to buy when the price is at a local high, but knowing when this is the case requires a rather high skill level. Thus, although rules sometimes are best broken, start by aiming to buy low and sell high. Two last points A. Knowing when to take a loss is hard, buying the dips and holding is easy. B. The dips WILL happen, you must be patient and ward off FOMO! C. If you aren’t willing to see 90%+ losses, then call a point where you will take a loss and stick to the game plan.
Another interesting way of getting identity revealed to the app is by offering some sort of promotional discounts or may be even free subscriptions, when you provide a social login like Facebook, Google, etc. We also think, you should not share the app with your friends on Facebook if the app asks special permission for this. If its via direct Facebook app that’s fine, but if the app requires special permission, just tap “No” for it. You could always message your friend about the app, when you really need anyway, so why would you give additional permission for that?
A lot of Altcoins end up losing value over a certain period of time, sometimes in an unusually short period of time. It is, therefore, paramount to understand that whenever you hold an altcoin for the long term, be careful not to hold on to them for too long. One of the best measures of coins that are perfect for long-term investments is the daily trading volumes. The higher the daily trading volume, the more suitable an asset is for long-term investments. If you’re thinking of going long term with cryptocurrencies, consider investing in some of the following coins: Ethereum (ETH), Factor (FCT), Monero (XRM), and Dash. These have decent trading volumes on various exchanges around the world.
CoinTracker: Crypto Portfolio iOS app introduces a very new feature to Crypto Portfolio apps called ERC-20 tokens. ERC-20 tokens are tokens which are designed to be used on Ethereum platform. Ethereum is a decentralized open software platfrom based on Blockchain, which enables developers to build and deploy decentralized applications -DApps. Depending on the purpose, DApps usually create ERC-20 tokens to incentify its users and developers. The token value increases when DApps become successful over time, or it could be otherway around too if the particular application fails to achieve its goals. ERC-20 tokens become increasingly popular with crowdfunded Initial Coin Offerings, due to the simplicity of deployment and interoperability with Ethereum token standards.
